2010 Team Outlook: Minnesota Vikings

Image
Last year the Vikes ending their season with an overtime loss in the NFC Championship to the Saints, set up by a Brett Farve interception. This year the Vikings look to bounce back and make that one last push into the Super Bowl.  Anything else will likely be seen as a disappointment to both fans and pundits alike. The Vikings have a really tough schedule as they play the Saints, Jets, Cowboys and Packers all before week 8.  But if anyone can lead a young team to tough stretch its none other than Mr. Wrangler, with him at the helm the passing game is always going to be a major factor.  Behind him stands one of the best players in the league in all-world running back Adrian Peterson .  With all the Chris Johnson talk this off season, I look for him to come back this season with a venegance and with a cure for that pesky fumbling problem.  Farve has a really great group of wide outs at his diposable with Bernand Berrian and Percy Harvin , the tight end posi...

2010 Team Outlook: Detroit Lions

Image
Detroit Lions:  It has been a very long time since the Lions made the playoffs or where even good for that matter.  Since 2000, 10 different quarterback have started and none of them has had much success.  After drafting quarterback Matthew Stafford the Lion are looking to buck the QB carousel trend and start winning some games.  Despite what many people think, Stafford had a good rookie season, just compare his stats to Mark Sanchez's and you'll see that they are almost identical. Overall the goal is very simple for the Lions: get a little better at every position and eek out  a few more wins.  This can be done by keeping Stafford upright and giving him a few more weapons.  Detroit hopes they've found a star in rookie running back Javid Bes t out of Cal.  He's small, fast and shifty.  He should be able to give the offense some much needed punch.   Calvin Johnson is a big time receiver and would be an even bigger star if he...

2010 Team Outlook: Chicago Bears

Image
Chicago Bears : At the beginning of the 2009 season there was much hype and attention placed on the Bears, rightfully so, for the first time in a long while the team had a legitimate threat at quarterback with the addition of Jay Culter .  But, with an terrible losing streak from weeks 9-12 the Bears fell short of their expectations, failed to make the playoffs and put coach Lovie Smith on the hot seat.  So how will the 2010 campaign shake out for the bears?  Well I predict that they will finish better than last year's 7-9 record and heres why: Mike Martz .

2010 Team Outlook: Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers:  I think anything other than a division title would be a big disappointment for this team. They play in a weak division and they have a defense that intercepts a lot of balls and scores a lot as well.  On the other side of the ball, Aaron Rodgers is playing outstanding Quarterback, he only had seven interceptions last year to go along with his 33 touchdowns.  If the Packers can cut down on sacks he should be able to improve these numbers.  Skill positions?  Yeah they are good there.  RB Ryan Grant had 11 touchdowns and 1258 yards , WRs Driver and Jennings both went for over 1,000 yards, TE Jermicheal Finley chipped in with 676 yards and 5 touchdowns.  The Pack ended 2009 on a sour note by losing in the playoffs 51-45 to the Arizona Cardinals in a very excited shootout.  If their defense can tighten up a little bit more in the playoffs, this team might be headed to Dallas for the Super Bowl. Key pickups:  Rookie Offensive ...
