2010 Team Outlook: Minnesota Vikings

Last year the Vikes ending their season with an overtime loss in the NFC Championship to the Saints, set up by a Brett Farve interception. This year the Vikings look to bounce back and make that one last push into the Super Bowl.  Anything else will likely be seen as a disappointment to both fans and pundits alike. The Vikings have a really tough schedule as they play the Saints, Jets, Cowboys and Packers all before week 8.  But if anyone can lead a young team to tough stretch its none other than Mr. Wrangler, with him at the helm the passing game is always going to be a major factor.  Behind him stands one of the best players in the league in all-world running back Adrian Peterson.  With all the Chris Johnson talk this off season, I look for him to come back this season with a venegance and with a cure for that pesky fumbling problem.  Farve has a really great group of wide outs at his diposable with Bernand Berrian and Percy Harvin, the tight end position is solidified with Vishante Shiancoe.

Defensively this is a very good line, especially against the run.  Defensive Ends Jared Allen and Ray Edwards will make it tough against opposing QBs.  If this defense has any weaknesses it would be in the secondary, the Vikings need to find ways to defend against pass as they finished a pedestrian 19th in passing defense.  Minny will have a good season and make a run into the playoffs.

Key Pickups: Running back Toby Gerhart (R), Cornerback Chris Cook (R)

Key Losses: Running back Chester Taylor
